I started CleanRun in 2013 after ten years in commercial HVAC installation, mostly on medical and school builds around Harris County. The thing that stuck with me from those jobs was the documentation - every pressure test logged, every weld photographed, every sign-off in triplicate. I figured homeowners deserved the same rigor. So I wrote the H.A.V.E.N. Standard around it: written price before work starts, documented photo record of every duct run, and a warranty that’s actually in writing, not a handshake. I still ride along on jobs when we’re training new equipment or when a customer has a complex plenum (that’s the main distribution box where all your duct runs connect) that needs a second set of eyes. If the filter looks like a welcome mat, the ductwork usually does too - that’s the first thing I check when I walk a house in Spring.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been running negative-pressure extraction jobs (that means sealed-system vacuum cleaning, so debris doesn’t escape into your living space) for seven years, the last four with us. He’s certified on Abatement Technologies portable HEPA units and can rebuild a flex-duct connection blindfolded, though he prefers to do it with the photo record running so the customer sees the before and after. His specialty is older Spring subdivisions like Cypresswood and Gleannloch Farms, where galvanized ductwork from the 1980s has its own personality - thin metal, sharp edges, and a tendency to separate at the seams. Off the clock, Marcus restores vintage Hondas. He’s got a 1987 CRX in his garage that’s cleaner than most ducts we see.
Daniela R., Senior Installer / Duct Repair Specialist
Daniela came up through residential new construction in Montgomery County, sealing ductwork with mastic (a thick, brush-applied sealant that outlasts tape by decades) on houses before the drywall went up. She joined CleanRun because she wanted to fix existing systems, not just install new ones. She’s our go-to for duct repair and sealing jobs in Spring, especially in neighborhoods like Lexington Woods and Windsong Village where builders in the 2000s used tape that degrades to dust after fifteen Texas summers. Daniela holds a certification in Aeroseal application, which is the pressurized sealant process we use when manual sealing can’t reach every leak. She also keeps a running bet with Marcus about who can find the most creative object in a duct run - she’s currently winning with a 1994 Taco Bell kids’ meal toy from a house in Louetta.
James K., Service Coordinator
James answers the phones and schedules the routes, which means he’s the voice most Spring customers hear first. He’s been with us since 2019 and has a cheat sheet in his head for every neighborhood’s typical issues - hard water scale on humidifier pads in Gleannloch, pet hair density in Windsor, the way pollen season hits Klein differently than the Woodlands. James sends every customer their written scope and price before the crew dispatches, and he follows up with the photo record delivery within 24 hours of job completion. He’s the one who catches it if a before-and-after set is missing a duct run, because Haven Standard Clause 5: Documented Photo Record means every run, not most of them. James is also a competitive barbecue judge on the Texas circuit, which means he takes smoke and airflow more seriously than most people.
Elena V., Apprentice Technician
Elena joined us in 2024 after completing the HVAC program at Lone Star College and deciding she wanted to specialize in indoor air quality rather than equipment installation. She’s training on our full equipment roster - Rotobrush contact cleaning for light debris, Nikro negative-pressure systems for heavy build-up, Honeywell and Aprilaire media filter upgrades - and she’s already certified in confined-space entry for attic work. Elena does the camera work on most jobs now, feeding the inspection scope through each duct run to find the debris pockets and damage that the written scope needs to account for. She’s from the Spring area originally, so she knows which houses in Memorial Northwest have the original ductwork and which were retrofitted after the 2016 floods. She also has the best attic heat tolerance of anyone on the crew, which is saying something in August.

You can look up every brand. The photo record format is the same. The written scope template is the same.
